Duikers Derde Ambachtsschool: an office building in an old, architecturally interesting school building/National Monument, offering large spaces for rent.
The Duikers Derde Ambachtsschool (‘Duiker’s Third Technical School’ ), located in Scheveningen near the harbour, was built by famed Dutch architect Jan Duiker and is constructed in a style made famous during the 1930s. By using new materials (for the time) like glass, steel and concrete, emphasis was put on light and open space.
This all lends the Derde Ambachtsschool a vibrant, well-lit and architecturally remarkable ambiance. The building’s status as a National Monument means that the building has to maintain all of these charactistics and its history as a school means that the office units for rent are large, starting at 65 square metres. (They’re old classrooms.)
The two floors of the building are occupied by tenants that range from architects and design firms to even a cooking school. A concierge is usually available on the premises to aid tenants with any question or remark they might have, and incoming mail is received and sorted.
