Spaces Rode Olifant is a classy, up-scale location with a luxurious amount of options for almost every type of entrepreneur or small business.
The building that houses the The Hague branch of Spaces is colloquially known as the Rode Olifant, or red elephant, named after its characteristic tower. It was built in 1924 as the headquarters of The American Petroleum Company, or Esso post-1947, the tower being added only to have the building be taller than the one belonging to their competition.
Upon entering this luxuriously building you’re greeted by an immensely beautiful art-deco styled foyer. With lots of natural lighting and a well-realised, cohesive interior, Spaces Rode Olifant presents itself as a fancy, upscale option for businesses large and small. On offer are both offices for rent as well as flexible work spaces, with conference rooms of varying size for rent as well.
With a floor space of close to 10.000 square metres, and in keeping with its name, Spaces offers tenants a lot of room, both literally and in the sense that they provide many additional services. From a restaurant and entertainment area situated in the souterrain of the building to the variously sized conference rooms, phone booths, appliances like showers, bikes for tenants’ use and more, Spaces aim to provide any and all services a tenant could wish for.
Remarkable also is the spirit of cooperation and open communication promoted by the organisation. Tenants are encouraged to interact at various social events organised by Spaces, and while the staff of the building is free to dress however they want, a sense of professionalism permeates the building.
