Women’s Business Initiative: Providing aid, support and information for entrepreneurs, with a focus (though not exclusively!) on entrepreneurial women.
The Women’s Business Initiative International, or WBII, is an international association of and for women entrepreneurs. Their offices are located at the Nassauplein, right around the corner from where their organization was first conceived in 2006. Starting off as an incubator for women who sought to start their own business, the WBII over time has evolved into a place that aims to provide any and all information and support for international (expat) as well as local women in taking the first steps toward entrepreneurship.
The WBII has a close partnership with MKB The Hague (a branch organization for small and medium-sized businesses) as well as the Nederlandse Vrouwenraad (Dutch Council of Women) and represent around a hundred members from over thirty different countries. They can honestly and proudly claim to have provided guidance for over five-hundred entrepreneurs over the years.
While they’ll provide personalised support to their members, the WBII also organizes training programmes, seminars and workshops, for both men and women entrepreneurs. There are some office spaces and a small flexible working space available in the WBII office, meant for members. But their main aim is ‘to facilitate the success of women in any line of work.’
